Upton Trade & Globe AG is a developing and growing team of professionals, experienced in international grain trading business done in strong adherence to GAFTA and FOSFA regulations and quality standards.
Another direction of our business activity is gas and energy trading, with strong focus on the European countries. Our company is a registered participant of the Ukrainian gas market, as well as the transportation system.
In the EU market we have been registered with EU Stream pipeline operator.
Our office is located in Canton Zug, Switzerland.

GRAIN TRANSPORTATION
Coaster vessels
Small bulk carriers, which are used for trading between ports on one island or continent, but could be used as cabotage vessels as well.
Their small hulls mean they can get through narrow aisles or reefs unsuitable for the bigger carriers.
From the Black Sea such vessels usually sail to the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. The average deadweight is 6000 metric tons.

Handysize vessels
Handysize is a naval architecture term for smaller bulk carriers or oil tanker with average deadweight 25-30 000mt.
Their small size allows Handysize vessels to enter smaller ports to pick up cargoes, and because usually they are fitted with cranes – they can often load and discharge cargoes at ports that lack the respective infrastructure.
Vessels of that type are longdistance vessels, for example, from the Black Sea to Southeast Asia countries.
